Living in Pencaitland
Pencaitland is a friendly and popular conservation village situated only ten minutes from Haddington, and boasts a post office, convenience store and a pub, whilst further shops including a large Tesco supermarket, can be found in Haddington. There is a good village primary school with secondary schooling at Knox Academy, Haddington or in Tranent. Belhaven Hill Prep School in Dunbar and The Compass in Haddington both provide excellent preparatory education, while Loretto at Musselburgh and the private schools of Edinburgh are all within easy reach. Edinburgh’s city centre is approximately 30 minutes away and the city bypass, A1, Edinburgh Airport and train line into Edinburgh are also easily accessible.
