The Oxgangs area of Edinburgh is a popular residential district to the South of the City Centre. The area has some local shopping facilities with additional facilities at nearby Colinton Village and there is a large Tesco Superstore and Morrisons nearby.
The area is well placed for easy access to the City Bypass providing links to the motorway network and there is a good public transport service to the City Centre. The area has a variety of recreational facilities including Hillend Ski Centre, Golf Courses, Craiglockhart Sports Centre and a variety of attractive walks including the Pentland Hills.
The area is well represented for schooling at both primary and secondary level in both the public and private sectors.
