Living in Old Town

The Old Town area of Edinburgh is one of the most popular areas of the city, close to the city centre and with a good choice of bars, restaurants and shopping facilities together with excellent recreational facilities including theatres and cinemas, galleries and museums.

Cockburn Street is accessed off the Royal Mile and is therefore close to the Castle, the Palace of Holyrood, Dynamic Earth and the National Museum. For parks the city has the well known Princes St gardens, Arthur’s Seat and Salisbury Crags and Calton Hill.

The area is also home to a number of university buildings and has easy access to Waverly Train Station and an excellent bus service throughout the city.
