Living in Moredun
Moredun is a popular, well established residential area which lies to the South of the City Centre. There is a variety of local shops with a large Morrisons within easy reach on Gilmerton Road. Cameron Toll Shopping Centre, The Fort and Fort Kinnaird Retail Parks are all a short drive away providing an abundance of shops, cafés, retail outlets and restaurants.
Frequent public transport runs to the city centre and surrounding areas with the City By-Pass being easily reached in turn providing links to major motorway networks, the A1 and Edinburgh International Airport proving ideal for the commuter.
The new Edinburgh Royal Infirmary is within walking distance as is Liberton Hospital. The area is conveniently situated for Edinburgh University’s King’s Buildings. Schooling is well represented in the area from nursery through to senior level. For recreational pursuits there are a number of golf courses in the area and Gracemount Leisure Centre with swimming pool is within easy reach.
