Auchendinny is a small Midlothian village with a general store and a village pub and there are regular bus services to Edinburgh. Auchendinny is a few miles from Penicuik which has a good choice of shopping, leisure and recreational facilities and is also close to Bilston, Roslin and to Loanhead with Straiton Retail Park providing an abundance of shopping facilities.
Auchendinny is surrounded by attractive countryside yet is in within easy reach of the City Bypass providing links to Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
