When it comes to purchasing a new property, Jane has the negotiating powers you need! With a wealth of experience behind her, she became a Purchase Negotiator for McDougall McQueen in 2011 and is a great person to offer advice and guidance.

Jane assists purchasing clients secure a property, and advises them on buying strategies accordingly, as well as working closely with the conveyancing team.

She knows the local market well and lives in Broxburn, a stone’s throw away from Edinburgh Airport, good local independent shops including butchers, supermarkets, hairdressers and restaurants, as well as the larger shopping complexes at Livingston, Almondale and The Gyle.

Did you know that Broxburn derives its name from Brock’s burn, meaning “badger burn”? Hence why there are a number of residential streets with “badger” in them and a housing development known as “the Badgers”.  Broxburn has great transport links and is accessible to many parts of the country. Close to home, the Union canal runs through the town and the famous Bings (mounds of spoil from James Young pioneering oil shale industry) can be seen from miles around, making the area ideal for a walk or cycle.

And Jane certainly takes advantage of her beatiful surroundings. A member of the Livingston Ramblers group, she is currently walking across Scotland and is aiming to finish the Southern Upland Way by March of this year and will be climbing Snowden in May to complete the 3 highest peaks in the UK.
