Moving home will be many people’s New Year’s resolution in 2018 and the latest residential market survey from RICS (the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) found expectations for the year ahead higher in Scotland than anywhere else in the UK.
More potential buyers are becoming active and expectations for prices and sales are on the up. However there is still a lack of new properties coming to the market to meet the needs and demands of Scotland’s property buyers.
The Edinburgh property market has remained strong for a number of years and continues to perform well with prices growing. It is a popular city for people to buy and sell properties and has been ranked as one of the world’s top cities for investment in a recent survey.
With continued low interest rates and modest price rises, experts are predicting that 2018 could be the year of the first-time buyer.

Sellers would be well advised to market their properties as early in the year as possible.”
